How Influencers in Italy Attracted 10,000 New Customers

In Italy – a country whose online shopping market is not highly concentrated – the European online shop Zalando was facing the challenge of making its service better known, learning more about the buying behavior of its customers and thus generating new ones. In the first step of our marketing campaign, we interviewed over 50,000 everyday influencers about Zalando and their online shopping habits. We then selected 5,000 influencers and trained them on the Zalando online shop and its features. Equipped with extensive background information and coupons to pass on, they then encouraged people within their sphere to try out the shop and gather their own experience. This enabled us to win over 10,000 new customers for Zalando.
